Bloody Reunion
Gory Korean horror film about students meeting up years later to hang out with their elementary school teacher. When the teacher left childhood scars, the friends are all hiding secrets, and there's a mysterious person from the past out there, bad things are bound to happen. Not my favorite Asian horror film, and the twist is kind of lame, but the gore is worth a watch.

Prince of Darkness
The Anti-Christ is a tube of green liquid, Donald Pleasance is a priest, and we're all doomed. John Carpenter experiments with physics and the apocalypse, resulting in this underrated tale.
6:30 AM [Cinemax]
The Andromeda Strain (1971)
Michael Crichton's little 70s gem where a virus wipes out a town and a selected group of scientists must figure out how to stop it. Slow-moving, but still a good sci-fi/quasi-horror pic, unlike the 2008 TV movie version, which was overindulgent and relied too much on modern disaster miniseries tropes.
4:05 PM [Flix]
Pulse (2001)
Seriously, the original version of Pulse? The Japanese one wherein it's all subtle and eerie, and you see things out of the corner of your eye and it freaked me out when I watched at 3 in the morning? Thank you, random movie channel for this awesomeness.
8:10 PM [Encore Action]
Mimic
Mira Sorvino and Jeremy Northam must fight gigantic bugs who have the ability to look just like us. Not one of my favorite Guillermo del Toro works, but if you must watch an "insects are out to destroy humanity," this is a decent choice.

The Gathering
Odd horror film starring Christina Ricci as an amnesiac young woman trying to regain her identity in a creepy English village. Ioan Gruffudd is suitably mysterious, but that doesn't save the ending, which is a bit too pat for my taste.
Basic plot of Devilman: A shy, passive teenager named Akira has two friends. One is a girl named Miki, who is obviously destined to be his main normal love interest as she is tough, smart, and provides suitable childhood flashbacks. The other is a guy named Ryo, who is clever, manipulative, and hiding a terrible family secret. This terrible secret? His dad found a demon skull that shows this whole demonic history of the world. And hey - wouldn't it be awesome if they summoned demons to possess one of them so they could then fight the other demons.
Of course, this plan goes off swimmingly, due to a hippie/beatnik/random clubgoer massacre at a nightclub and Akira is now the host to Amon (aka the Lord of War, the Beast of Hell). Since he had a pure soul before this whole demonic host thing, he control Amon's powers and uses them to kick demonic ass. But... wait. Is Ryo hiding a demon as well? Now, who could it be? Could it be ... Satan?”
Yep.
